Dr. Yoshiki B. Kurata is a Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) awarded by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) and an Associate ASEAN Engineer (AAE) awarded by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations. He earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the 91性息港 (2013), Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman (2016), and Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering (Ph.D. IE) at Mapua University (2022), specializing in Cognitive Ergonomics and Macroergonomics in Disaster Risk Management.
At present, he is the national president of the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers 鈥� Young Engineers Section (PIIE-YES) and the International Relations and Linkages Coordinator of the Philippine Technological Council 鈥� Young Engineers Section (PTC-YES). Also, he is part of the Scientific Advisory Board in the Human Factors in Management and Leadership track of the International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Track Chair in the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) for the Asia Pacific Region.
He has published several journals and conference papers presented at local and international conferences in the fields of human factors and ergonomics, production engineering, disaster risk analysis, and service system operations. His research interests include cognitive ergonomics, macroergonomics, disaster risk, and accident analysis, exergaming and human performance, musculoskeletal disorders, and service science.听
